Notice of Change – Banque Internationale à Luxembourg migrates from STET to Berlin Group v2 platform

Issued: 29th August 2025| TB-1629

What's Changing?

The Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) PSD2 APIs have been migrated to the Berlin Group standard. Token will release a new Berlin Group standard-based bank implementation. The current (STET standard-based) will be removed.

Does This Change Affect You?

Payments

a. The change will affect customers who are integrated via the Payments v1 API or API_ONLY flow type for Payments v2.

b. All uncompleted payments will fail after the bank disables the current version.

Data (AIS)

a. All consents won’t be migrated to the new version of the bank.

This change will not affect customers who integrated via Token web-app, HPv2 or collect additional credentials using Token web-app /HPv2.

Changes in Detail

  1. New bank id: ngp-bill (instead of stet-bill).

  2. New mandatoryFields config for domestic and international payments:

  • a. transfer_body.instructions.transfer_destinations.customer_data.legal_names

  • b. transfer_body.instructions.source.account_identifier

Payments v1: POST /token-requests/{tokenRequestId}/authorization will require iban filed populated into source.accountIdentifier object.

Payments v2: POST v2/payments will require iban filed populated into the debtor object.

What problem will this solve?

The update will keep the bank available for Token’s customers.

What Action Do I Need to Take?

No actions are required for Token web-app/HPv2 customers.

API customers must populate the source account value in /token-request endpoint for Payments v1 and v2.

When Will This Change Apply to All Impacted Customers?

This change will become effective from 1st September 2025.
